Halloween is just around the corner. I grew up in Japan, when I was my son's age (5 years old) I didn't know anything about Halloween.  My first experience with Halloween was in 1998 at Castro, San Fransisco. It was just right after I moved to San Fransisco from Japan. I remember that It was a very crazy day for me, and see so many drag queens! I had a really great and fun time. I wish I could have experienced Trick-or-Treat when I was a child. Now, Japanese people celebrate Halloween. I enjoy very much to go Trick-or-Treating with my son in the City.  The Halloween experience is probably different for a child living in the City compared to the suburbs. We livie in Manhattan, and my Trick-or-Treating experience has been to go to the shops in the village. This year, I'm thinking to take him to a bigger Halloween event in the City. Below are some events in different areas of the City, see the list below. :)

Halloween Celebration at American Museum of Natural History
October 31st 4pm-7pm

Upper East Side
78th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues.
92nd Street between Park and Madison Avenues(Halloween Spooktacular  5pm-6:30)
